What is TechZone?

TechZone will be used to create an environment that enables students to independently explore new opportunities in a technological realm with esports, robotics, 3-D printing, and live streaming!

Connecting Dots

Esports Arena

Esports, or electronic sports, is a form of competition using Video games on the console, mobile and pc platforms.

Coconut Wireless Network will provide the introduction for our students the knowledge and skills needed to get them conditioned and ready for esports gaming and competitions while actively learning the essentials to becoming an outstanding gamer.

Robotics

Robots themselves are essentially a mechanical device with either limbs or wheels that are programmed with specific instructions but can sometimes be controlled remotely.

While learning robotics, students will be introduced to STEM. STEM is the core essentials that expand students' critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Coconut Wireless Network will incorporate Lego NXT kits for La Pietra’s students to open creativity and imagination to their own full potential. Students will learn how to build, program and control these robots to each of its own design while completing specific tasks.

3D-Printing

3D printing would be minimally integrated, as necessary, to help students problem solve (i.e., create simple designs for robotics projects, create replacement parts, build/create parts, etc.)

Live Streaming

This practice of using the internet to make digital live/recordings of broadcasts which can be viewed through sites/applications.

The Tech Zone could offer a space for students to learn how to podcast and livestream.  The area would include a backdrop, lighting, camera, and microphones.
