Introduction:
Welcome to the Apex Summer Heat Tournament featuring Auspicious Gaming (ASG) partnered with Coconut Wireless Network (CWN)! This tournament is designed to be a competitive yet fun experience for players of all skill levels. We hope that this event will bring attention to Hawaii’s gaming community and shine light on other local businesses. Before participating, please review the following rules and guidelines to ensure fair play and a smooth tournament experience.
Important:
In order to enter and participate into this tourney, you will have to download and install the Coconut Wireless Network’s Anti-Cheat engine which will be provided a week before the tournament.
Cause:
This is a 4 week tournament including one scrimmage day for competitors to understand and experience first hand how this tournament will be scored, managed and viewed. ASG and CWN want to build an entity that Hawai’i gamers and content creators can use to grow their brand, their team and their local personalities world wide. This will be the first ALGS style tournament created locally here in Hawai’i to help local gaming communities and local companies.
Eligibility:
The tournament is open to all players who meet the following requirements:
• Must be at least 13 years old
• Must have an active Apex Legend account
• Must be able to register through the Coconut Wireless Network LLC (CWN) Via website/mobile app.
Format:
The tournament will be played in a Trio Battle Royale format. Players will compete against each other in private matches. On June 4th, Scrims play will consist of 4 rounds (tentative). The tournament will consist of multiple rounds, with 4 rounds being played in private matches from June 10th to June 24th. On the day of finals, July 1st, players will be playing 6 rounds.
Scoring:
Players will earn points based on their performance in each match. The scoring system is as follows:
• 1st Place: 12 points
• 2nd Place: 9 points
• 3rd Place: 7 points
• 4th Place: 5 points
• 5th Place: 4 points
• 6th-7th Place: 3 points
• 8th-10th Place: 2 points
• 11th-15th Place: 1 points
• 16th-20th Place: 0 points
• Each Elimination: 1 point
Match Rules:
Players must follow these rules during each match:
• Players must be on time for each match. Must be in pre-game lobby 20 minutes prior to first round of each tournament date.
• Players must play on their own account and not share their account information with others.
• Players must not use any cheats or exploits. Any use of such will result in immediate disqualification.
• Players must not use any inappropriate language or behavior. Any use of such will result in immediate disqualification.
Player Substitution/backup:
Team's are allowed one backup player which can be used to substitute if primary players become unavailable for any tournament date. This substitute/player MUST be registered on a qualifying team 24 hours prior to the first tournament date.
Placement:
In the event of a placement tie at the end of round 4 (four) from June 10th- June 24th, the tied players will play an additional match to determine the winner.
Final Round:
The final round (6 rounds) will be played by everyone in a private match and the placement will be determined based on the total score from all matches played in previous rounds.
Prizes:
The top three players will receive the following prizes:
• Overall Winners: Championship Belt each
• Weekly Prizes: $100 to 1st place teams
Disqualification:
Players may be disqualified for the following reasons:
• Breaking any of the match rules
• Cheating or exploiting the game
• Using inappropriate language or behavior
Rules Changes:
These rules are subject to change at any time, and any changes will be communicated to players in advance.
Coconut Wireless Network LLC reserves the rights to cancel, suspend and modify all or part of the Coconut Wireless Network Apex Tournament if any fraud, technical failures, storm, public disaster, or public health emergency, or any governmental or regulatory determination or action, regulation or order, or any other cause beyond CWN’s reasonable control whether similar or dissimilar to those other factor impairs the integrity or proper operation of the Tournament, including the safety of Competitors or fairness of the Coconut Wireless Network Apex Tournament, as determined by CWN Administrator's in its sole discretion.
CWN reserves the right to disqualify any Competitor or Team at any time for any reason, including without limited to, for tampering with the operation of the Coconut Wireless Network Apex Tournament, CWN's AntiCheat Engine and/or acting in violation of these Tournament Rules.
